Outfit of the Day: Sunday

Image
Dear blog, this is an outfit I recently wore to church. It was cold and rainy so I really wanted to stay warm. If you are looking for a good sweater that will keep you warm, this one from H&M is the one; I absolutely love it. Let's take a moment to admire the fox, I find it extremely adorable. A funny story, my brother was referring to my sweater as an ugly one, but apparently other people found it cute. I got lots of compliments and my husband loved the way I looked; so that is a plus. Underneath I wore a white blouse from Ross (similar to the one here from H&M). I wore black maternity pants. I think they make me look slimmer and they fit, so why not. They were also very expensive so I had to use them. (these are non-maternity pants from H&M ). My white ankle boots are several years old. I purchased them at Sears, they don't have the ones I own anymore, but I did find this cute pair. Sears Mid Calf Boots  I couldn't find my exac

Haul!! :)

Dear blog, on Saturday I went to the mall. I wasn't planning on purchasing anything, but there were some cute items that I just had to try. Please watch the video first and then read the descriptions below. #1 This first item was not purchased at the mall, but online during a sale that I couldn't pass up. And they are the Silk Bow Ballet Flats from The Brooks Brothers. They are navy and pink; such a beautiful combination. The original price for the shoes is $168.00, I got it on sale for $40 and now they are $67.20. They are fairly comfortable; I was able to walk around the mall with no problem. I would recommend them to you guys. Also, they look very nice on the feet. #2 The next product is from the Mac Heirloom Mix Collection , I talked about this collection on my blog before. I absolutely love the concept of the Victorian Era; it's one of my all time favorites. The dresses, hair, makeup, and decorations, I love it all. This make up brush collection comes

Favorite Youtubers from the UK

Image
Dear blog, for the past several months I have been watching YouTubers from another country. I had recently found them and I'm obsessed with their channel. One thing I like about YouTube is that I have been given the opportunity to watch these people live their lives, but also learn about their culture. I was not born in the United States, I was born in Cuba, and moving to a new country has really made me appreciate cultures and the differences in them. The YouTuber's I have been watching live in England, I know how cool is that? This is a place that I desperately want to visit. I keep trying to convince my husband to take me soon and when I say soon, I mean in December. I have learned so much about their culture, and I love everything that they have accomplished. By watching their videos I can tell that they spend many hours of their days working on their videos. 1. I think this one is an obvious pick, but oh well. It is Zoe from Zoella and MoreZoella . I love her main bl

Dear blog, I'm such a big fan of the Victorian era; it's my favorite era. I love the puffy, long, beautiful dresses, and the big hair. I have always wanted to dress like that; it is just so beautiful and feminine. Also, it reminds me of Queens and Princesses and who doesn't want to be one of those? I have a small obsession with learning about the queens and princesses; Marie Antoinette, Victoria, Elizabeth, etc.. What brought on this post is the new Mac collection. I mainly love the packaging; the outside of the eye shadow packaging has the silhouette of a woman from the Victorian era. There are three eye shadow palettes in the collection. I like that the palettes that include matte colors; I'm all about the matte eye shadows. I like the color combination found in the palette. I really like the Beige eye palette. The price of the palettes is $39.50. 1. Plum Eyes -  Eyes can be transformed into objects of desire with eight shades of icy pinks and warm purples in yo

Bell's Palsy

Dear blog, this is not a blog about makeup or fashion, I hope you don't mind. But it is about something personal. Have you ever heard of Bell's Palsy? Well neither had I, until several years ago. "Bell's Palsy is a paralysis or weakness of the muscles on one side of your face. Damage to the facial nerve that controls muscles on one side of the face causes that side of your face to droop," according to  WebMD . I know this happened several years ago, but I feel like it's something I could share maybe someone may be experiencing it right now. In my family I am the one that has been through the most surgeries and experienced the most medical probems; it has not been easy. I always thought "why me," I'm the girl. But you know what I do not want any one from my family to go through those trials because they were not fun. Alright back to Bell's Palsy, I was a Sophomore in college when I suffered from this condition. I was having a pretty good day;

How to get curls using foam rollers?

Image
Dear blog, I usually don't have time to fix my hair on Sunday morning before church. I like to have some curls in my hair since my hair is so naturally straight. Since I don't have time in the morning, I try to get it done on Saturday night. I use foam rollers to roll my hair. It usually takes around 5 minutes to put all the rollers in and that is pretty good because I don't have to worry about it again until Sunday morning. I use  foam rollers from Conair, they are very affordable: a pack of 48 for $3.82. Here is how I do it ! First, I like to start with clean hair. I washed my hair and let it air dry for about 30 minutes. Second, I used the Suave Kids Detangling  spray, I did not find the exact same one pictured here, but I did find a new similar one. I like this product because it gets the job done, it gets rid of any tangles I may have. Also, this product is very cheap, I highly recommend it and it can be found at any drugstore. Third, I comb through my h

Origami Owl

Image
Dear blog, in some of my older posts, I have written about a little boy pendant that is found at Tous. But the pendant is over $80. So, I was searching the Origami Owl website for a gift for my mom. If you don't know what Origami Owl is, its a store where you can build and buy a necklace of your own. They sell charms that mean something to you. For mother's day this year, I purchased my mom a necklace with charms from the Origami Owl. I got her a silver necklace and a silver locket ($16). For the charms I got her my brothers' and my birth stone in the shape of little boys and a little girl, and two little blue feet, one for my nephew and one for my son. But I didn't get one for her marriage. Each charm is $5, It it's not expensive considering Pandora is much more expensive. So I have decided to get her marriage charm for Christmas; I got a silver ring. She loved the necklace, she wears it all the time; it has become a staple piece for her. I think it's because i
