Week 4 Weight Loss Journey

Dear blog, Christmas came and ended way too quickly, but I'm proud of myself; I kept my meals  to mostly clean foods. I did miss eating my typical Christmas Eve and Christmas Day food; I usually eat pork, rice, beans, yuca, and so much more food. Typical Cuban food (which I love), but since I wasn't in Miami this was not an option :(. Anyway I did not workout this week at all which I regret, it was just so crazy and hectic between traveling and coming back home and getting readjusted to our home routine has been a bit harder now that we have a baby. The baby doesn't do too well in new places. Back to my journey, for the last two weeks I have been researching more about The Trim Healthy Mama way of eating and starting a healthy lifestyle. I've been a bit hesitant, the book is $35. If you are interested in purchasing the book, you can find it on Amazon. Also, I'm not sure about some of the recipes found in the book. A friend from church lent me her book so I can look through it and become familiar with the idea behind Trim Healthy Mama. I have read testimonies from other ladies and how they have lost weight with this plan, so now I'm intrigued to try it out. If you don't want to purchase the book just yet, you can check them out on Facebook and try recipes. Also, other ladies post recipes you can try. The book was written by two sisters and they have set up the plan into two parts; the Energizing (E) and Satisfying (S) plan. The S plan focuses on you eating fats, protein, but is low in carbs. The E plan allows you to eat protein and carbs. The big things about this diet is that you can eat carbs and fats, but not in the same meal. You will eat them separate, for example, if in one meal you are eating carbs then you won't eat anything with fats. Check this post out if you are interested in learning more about it, like I said I recently found out about this plan and I have not had the chance to try it out. Also, she provides some recipes that you can try :). I'm hopping to start on this for week 5 and I will keep you posted on how I like the recipes and if I start seeing changes in my weight.
