Books I want to read!

Image
Dear blog, I have written several posts about books that I would like to read or have read in the past and have enjoyed. I love to read, it's one of my favorite hobby. I find it relaxing! I love the places that the different stories take me and the things I get to learn from them. If you don't like reading don't give up on it. It's a great skill to have and that we need to teach our children. I read Zoe Sugg's first book,  Girl Online , and I enjoyed it, but for some reason I didn't get around to reading the second book ( Girl Online On Tour ) of the series. The third book ( Girl Online Going Solo ) will soon be out and I haven't even read the second one. I need to get my hands on that book!!! This book was recommend by Mimi Ikonn on her July Favorites ;  Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday. It sounds like a very interesting book. I can't wait to get my hands on this book. I love watching Mimi's videos on YouTube , she always helps me

Welcome Home Baby!

Image
Dear blog, I finally got to bring my baby girl home. We are beyond thrilled to finally have her home finally. It has been extremely difficult having her at the hospital, away from us. Now we still have some traveling to do, like taking her to an eye clinic and her monthly checkup. It has taken a little getting used to. Trying to spend time with both children, I don't want my son to feel left out. He is finally getting used to having her around, he now goes up to her bassinet to check on her! It's the sweetest thing. I love to cuddle with my baby girl. I always wanted to have a girl, God has blessed me greatly. I have a wonderful little boy and a beautiful little girl. It's a dream come true to have one of each.  Now I have officially become dependent on coffee, I don't sleep much. I've been going to bed at 3:00 a.m every morning. I like to be awake to feed her at 2:00 a.m. My fuel is coffee and milk is the baby's fuel :) I really like the Similac N

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Dear blog, I recently attended a professional development course on classroom management. Being my first year teaching, I thought this would be the perfect course for me. I found some great resources. During the course, we watched videos of how one teacher's procedures for the first week of classes. It was an English teacher in the video, and he recommended several books. If you have read any of my posts before, you will probably know I love to ready; so, of course I wanted to add the books he recommended to my must read list. One of the books he recommend was,  Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. This was the only one my local library had, so, I naturally read it first. You may be asking, "why didn't you just buy or rent the digital copy of all of them?" Well, I'm a little old fashion: I enjoy the feeling of finding the perfect book in a library and taking it home for a wonderful experience, then returning it to share that experience with another person I may nev

Saturday Adventure!

Image
Dear blog, our lives have been so chaotic and we haven't had time to do anything fun. All we did for the last two months was go to the hospital, so I was ready to visit new places. Our first adventure after being back home was to an indoor play area. Where the children can pretend. It was okay, not what I expected. But it wasn't about me, it was about my son and he seemed to have a good time. When I lived in Miami I went to a similar one at the Miami Children's Museum that was really good and that's what I had thought this one would be. There were trains there and he liked to go down the slide with them! He liked driving this car, he would always come back to this one. I think it's a sign that I need to get him one. He also liked driving the shopping cart around. This one is from Melissa and Doug . That is his favorite thing to do when we go grocery shopping. I'm getting him one for Christmas :). I liked how they used recycled boxes for their

Mickey Mouse my Son's BFF

Image
Dear blog, I have talked about my obsession with Walt Disney World and how I'm planning to visit again next year. I took my son last year for his first birthday and I would like to do the same for his sister. Last year when we went, we took a picture with Mickey Mouse, my son was so beyond excited. He kept grabbing Mickey's nose. It was such a memorable and unforgettable experience. At that time he didn't recognize Mickey and didn't know who he was. Fast forward to now, he knows who Mickey is. On our bedroom I have a picture of us three with Mickey and every time he comes to my room he points at it and says "Mickey". So cute!!!!!!!!!!! He has a plush Mickey doll that he got at Toys R Us last year for a $1. This is probably his favorite toy, followed by his choo choo trains, and Jake. Before I was put in the hospital I was potty training him and he was doing so well. He was making huge improvements, but everything changed once I went to the hospital. Now he

Pokemon Go

Image
Dear blog, I recently downloaded the game  Pokemon Go  app. I never thought that I would play the game. I was never a Pokemon fan, but as I saw more people playing it and my husband started talking to me about it, I thought I should give it a try. Also, I have a feeling that lots of my students are going to come back to school talking about the game and what better way to bond with them than by playing a game they enjoy. I'm not very advanced, I'm only on level 4, very close to level 5! My husband and I got to play a little as we were driving to the hospital. Let me tell you, we saw lots of people walking around playing the game. I like how this game has made people more active. They all want to go on walks and catch Pokemon with their children. I've read several of those posts on Facebook. I'm glad that we finally have a video game that is making an impact on people's physical health. Now, I think people still need to respect the law, not trespass, and to pay atte

Kylie Cosmetics: So Cute Gloss

Image
Dear blog, my husband recently surprised me with my second Kylie Cosmetic product. I always think he is not listening to me, but he really is :). He ordered me So Cute gloss, the website describes it as a pale beige. I was really excited to get this in the mail, I have enjoyed using my first Kylie Cosmetic product, Koko K Lip Kit .  I really enjoyed reading the post card that was included in this package. I like the short inspiring message Kylie chose.  This is how this gloss looked on my lips. I felt like it didn't give me much color, it felt like a clear gloss. One thing I like is that it's not sticky.  Since it felt like a clear gloss I decided to try it another way. I applied Koko K lip pencil all over my lip and then applied So Cute over it and I loved how they look together. It turned out to be a light pink which I love. This might be my everyday lip color. I'm going to need to buy another Koko K lip pencil .  There are other pro

July Favorites

Dear blog, it's been a while that I wrote a favorite's blog and I thought it was time I wrote one. I recently wrote a favorite's post of items my son likes. I had lots of fun writing that blog, I got to think back and enjoy the wonderful memories of him using those products. I have been enjoying the Young Living Meadow Mist deodorant. I've been trying to be more careful on the products that I put on my body and this was an area that I wanted to start in. I really like the smell of this deodorant, it is on the expensive side for a deodorant, so far it's worth the money.  This is the BB cream I use for every workday. The Body Shop All In One BB Cream  in the shade number 2. It's easy to blend into the skin and it matches perfect to my skin. I love how it's not a very heavy project, it's light I feel like I'm not wearing anything. It gives me a glowy look, that I like.   This is the eye shadow palette I have been using almos
