Disney Aladdin Movie 2019

 Dear blog, This weekend we went to see Disney’s Aladdin live action movie. I was really skeptical about going to watch this movie. I kept asking myself, "Will it be good? Will it be as good as the animated version? How is Will Smith going to top the original genie?" Robin Williams was legendary; he brought the Genie to life! Even with all my doubts and the mixed reviews online, I still went and let me tell you, I don’t regret it! The movie was 2 hours long and yes I took my children to watch the movie. For the most part they did really well. As long as they had popcorn and skittles they are content. My youngest got a little antsy, but that was because it was nap time. Certain parts of the movie scared my youngest. She was very worried about Aladdin in the Cave of Wonders. Another scene I found a bit scary is the ending when Jafar becomes powerful then turns his bird turned into a giant killer bird. I’ve read reviews discussing Aladdin stealing and the kind of mess...

Aladdin Musical!

Dear blog, I've heard about the Aladdin Musical through friends who have visited New York City and they came back talking about how awesome it was. I was intrigued, so I started to look into the show in New York City. To my surprise, they had announced a national tour. I immediately looked for the tour dates and cities: I found the closest to us in St. Louis, MO (about three hours away). We had to wait a couple of months for the tickets to go on sale, but when the date came, I texted my husband and he was able to get them. We couldn't afford seats near the stage which is fine. We still got to enjoy the show (for the most part lol). We (my husband) spent a lot of time taking our son to the restroom. He lets me stay to enjoy the show, he is very sweet. He did the same for me when we saw The Little Mermaid musical when our daughter wouldn't stop crying. He took her to the lobby for nearly the entire show.
