Classroom Life: Science Experiments & Presentations

Dear blog, It's getting closer and closer to the end of the school year and I still have so much to teach my students. I give them as much knowledge as possible. I want them to be ready to tackle the next grade. I want them to start the next school year with confidence and the way to do that is to expose them to as many techniques and experiences that I can. I'm always changing my mind about what I want to do. I want to make it as engaging as possible. I've learned that one of the best way to keep them engaged is to have them work on their laptop, which is completely different than how I want to learn, lol. I've recently completed my unit on animals. We talked about animal structures and functions and how these things help them survive. Biology is one of my favorite topics to teach, there are so many things we can learn about our world :). Here is one of the activities that we completed. I used a lesson from the book Even More Picture Perfect , Unbeatable Beaks and

Disney's Magic Kingdom Dining Experience

Image
Dear blog, I've visited Disney World many times during my life. On my family's first couple of trips we didn't eat in the park; we thought it was too expensive, so we usually ate breakfast at a buffet to make sure we were full before heading to the park. At the park we always chose the cheapest we could find on. But, when I was younger, I wasn't worried about trying all of the restaurants, I was just thankful to be at Disney World. Coming from Cuba, a third world country without the basic luxuries of American life, I was just in awe of the magic. The park that I have visited the most is Magic Kingdom, which is my favorite! Now that I'm older, and have an appreciation for good food, I want to talk about the amazing food options at the park. Now, these options are more expensive than restaurants outside the parks, but the quality almost always justify the price. So, here is the review of my family's favorite dining experiences.  The Lunching Pad in Tomor

Disney Cruise Fantasy Vacation

Dear blog, I have never been on a cruise. I have made plans to go in the past, but it hasn't worked out. Either we haven't had the money or I was pregnant. But I have always wanted my first cruise experience to be a Disney Cruise. I've heard so many good things about them, I have to go on one. The ship that I would like to go on is Dream Fantasy . There are so many features of this ship that I like. It has six pools!!! A Mickey pool  with Mickey's face on the floor. Also, it has a water slide for the kids to slide down into the pool. There are some quick-service choices by the pool. They all sound very yummy; Tow Mater's Grill serves burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders etc. Luigi's Pizza offers a variety of toppings that we all love. Fillmore's Favorites includes wraps, salads, and fruit; it is certainly the healthier option. There are two more places with ice creams and smoothies; Eye Scream Treats and Frozone Treats. Donald's pool  has a portr
