Dear blog,  This past year has been a whirlwind. We all went into this year with 20/20 hindsight and making huge plans which is fine, but we were soon hit with the realization that this year was going to be different than expected. The last time we got to go to Disney World was in February and we were excited and couldn't wait to back, but our plans had to be put on pause. We had trips planned out for March, April, and May. And each got cancelled due to Corona. We finally got to plan our July trip and it did not come at an easy cost. It was very difficult trying to stay updated with all of the changes being done by Disney. We kept hearing about a new system to be bale to make reservation to get into the park which is wild because we thought since we were annual passholder we would have assess. Dear blog,  Getting another degree, while working full time, and being a mother of two doesn't provide much time for my hobbies. But, since I have finished my degree, I decided it was time to get back to one of my favorite hobbies, reading. The difficult part was choosing what book to read; luckily I was given early access to an amazing book, " Courage, My Love " by Kristin Beck. The book will be available April 13, 2021. You have to get your copy ASAP.  The story is set around WWII and follows the lives of two women who are trying to keep their families safe as the Nazis invaded Italy. The two main characters in this story are Francesca and Lucia. Francesca was engaged to Giacomo, who was studying medicine and chose to help those who were affected by the war. Francesca decided to join Giacomo in this mission. Dear blog,  The last couple of months have been a doozy. So many things are happening and there is so much uncertainty; I was happy to escape into Chanel's new book "The Last Train to Key West". I've been looking forward to reading this book ever since I read " When We Left Cuba " last year.  This was such a good book, it has the right amount of romance, drama, suspense, and powerful moments that can bring you to tears. I couldn't put it down! I stayed up reading in bed after my family was asleep, I managed to finish reading it in 24 hours. Not easy to do with two little ones, but I did it :)! At first, I was confused as I tried to keep up with the three different story lines of the three women, but by the end it all made sense. I couldn't understand why the story was jumping around between three different characters. But it was exciting learning how their lives are so similar and how they were connected. Dear blog, In my last blog I talked about my stay at the Walt Disney Polynesian Resort, during that visit we had the opportunity to ride the monorail to the one resort I want to stay at more than any other. The Grand Floridian. We were actually really hungry so we ended up eating there. We ate at the Grand Floridian Cafe, I found it to be affordable. For a party of 4 we spent $40 which is not bad for a Disney resort. We also had the option to eat at the 1900 Park Fare which is a character dining for $40 per person, so you can see why $10 per person is really affordable for Disney. We didn’t get to do it, but it’s on my list for next time. For the Grand Floridian Cafe, we didn’t have reservations but we were able to walk up and put our name on the list. We waited for about 10 minutes, but this was for a brunch time meal on a weekday, so I doubt this would be the case for a busy holiday evening. This Cafe is Victorian themed and very elegant. Dear blog, It’s July and that means it’s my birthday and anniversary month! If you have been reading my blogs for a while you will know I’m a huge Disney fan and I’m always looking for a reason to visit. We recently embarked on an adventure. We recently moved to Florida and it has been a crazy month from trying to get adjusted to a new place to finding a job. So this mini surprised vacation couldn’t have comes at a better time. It marked our one month from the move so it was special. I’ve mentioned in the past that we are Disney Vacation Club members, so this trip was made possible because we had some points saved which really makes a difference because an average night stay at this resort is $534 for just a studio room. This was such a treat, I absolutely loved the Polynesian Resort.  Dear blog, This weekend we went to see Disney’s Aladdin live action movie. I was really skeptical about going to watch this movie. I kept asking myself, "Will it be good? Will it be as good as the animated version? How is Will Smith going to top the original genie?" Robin Williams was legendary; he brought the Genie to life! Even with all my doubts and the mixed reviews online, I still went and let me tell you, I don’t regret it! The movie was 2 hours long and yes I took my children to watch the movie. For the most part they did really well. As long as they had popcorn and skittles they are content. My youngest got a little antsy, but that was because it was nap time. Certain parts of the movie scared my youngest. She was very worried about Aladdin in the Cave of Wonders. Another scene I found a bit scary is the ending when Jafar becomes powerful then turns his bird turned into a giant killer bird. I’ve read reviews discussing Aladdin stealing and the kind of mess...

Dear blog, I've heard about the Aladdin Musical through friends who have visited New York City and they came back talking about how awesome it was. I was intrigued, so I started to look into the show in New York City. To my surprise, they had announced a national tour. I immediately looked for the tour dates and cities: I found the closest to us in St. Louis, MO (about three hours away). We had to wait a couple of months for the tickets to go on sale, but when the date came, I texted my husband and he was able to get them. We couldn't afford seats near the stage which is fine. We still got to enjoy the show (for the most part lol). We (my husband) spent a lot of time taking our son to the restroom. He lets me stay to enjoy the show, he is very sweet. He did the same for me when we saw The Little Mermaid musical when our daughter wouldn't stop crying. He took her to the lobby for nearly the entire show.
