Disney Trip 2018 Day 1

Image
Dear blog,
I can't believe that my Disney Vacation is over! They are never long enough in my opinion. We were glad to make it to Orlando while it was still day time, we wanted to enjoy our hotel after a 13 hour car ride. We stayed at the Caribe Royale in Orlando. Its a beautiful hotel in a great location. My son calls hotels his "big house", he loves visiting/staying in hotel rooms! Our children particularly liked the kids play area, there was a pool and slides. The pool is not very deep so it's perfect for toddlers, but they still need to be supervised. There's also a pool for adults with a slide and a waterfall. Plus, beneath the waterfall is a gorgeous seating area. The slide is a must, it's fun and it goes fast lol.

My big girl walking with her Minnie Mouse suitcase!

The first night we were there we actually celebrated my son's and my birthday. My sister-in law baked my cake and baked cupcakes for my son. This year I requested Mrs. Potts from Beauty a…

Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton

Image
Dear blog,
I recently finished listening to Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton on Audible. I was actually able to listen to the book for free on a 30 day free trial. I checked the public library first, but they didn't have it so I decided to try audible. I usually prefer a physical book because I love the smell and feel of them. It also helps with my struggle to understand English since its my second language, not my native language. I find it difficult to focus when someone else is reading and I can't follow along. Also, as the mother of two toddlers, I really enjoy the me time of reading books, but this free trial allowed me to listen to the book during our very long drive to Florida for vacation. I would go for a walk/run and I was able to listen to about an hour of the book a day. I'm looking forward to reading When We Left Cuba which is expected to release in February of 2019.

I'm a sucker for a good romance novel and this was just perfect. I loved the story an…

Christopher Robin: Family Friendly Adventure of Laughs (Movie Review)

Image
Dear Blog,
My wonderful husband surprised us with a family outing to the movie theater this evening. School is right around the corner and we wanted to get some valuable family tim in before the rush of fall hits. So, he took my advice and bought tickets to the new Disney film, Christopher Robin. Before I discuss the movie itself I want to describe a major issue we face everyday. This is the danger of showing movies and tv shows to our children. My husband and I love watching movies and shows, but so many of them are filled with unnecessary indoctrination. Every show has to have homosexuals, lesbians, abortions, drugs, or a general hatred for basic American values. Yes, I know these are all things that exist in our world, but why does my four year old need to be told he isn't the gender he was born as? You have your beliefs and I have mine, but why does all forms of entertainment have to push your beliefs on my child? Well, even when Disney seems the biggest champion of all these…

Disney Family Summer Vacation 2018

Image
Dear blog,
I was convinced we wouldn't be able to travel this year for our vacation, let alone go to Disney World. My husband actually surprised me and said that we will visit one of Disney's water parks, I was beyond excited once he told me. I actually haven't visited any of Disney's water park so this is amazing. My kiddos love water parks so it makes the perfect summer vacation. Like I mentioned before, I like taking my family on summer vacations. My kiddos and nephews only get to see each other twice a year that is not long enough. That is why I love planning our vacations and having them come with us.

Our plan is to visit Typhoon Lagoon, the tickets to the water park are $65, if you didn't know, this is a lot cheaper than the theme parks. We get a discount for being Disney Vacation Club members, one of the best decisions we ever made was to become DVC members. I highly recommend it if you and your family love all things Disney.

Young Living Essential Oils Must Haves!!

Image
Dear blog,
I have been using Young Living Essential Oils for the past three years and it has been one of the best decisions I ever made. Since I started using essential oils I haven't had the need to drink a pill every time I have aches or pains. I not only use oils on myself, I use it on my children and sometimes on my husband (he is not a fan of oils and their smell). I diffuse the oils and apply topically, very rarely do I take them internally.

I love all of the oils and products I have used from Young Living, but in the span of these three years I have certain products/oils that are my must haves. These are products that I keep on hand at all times!

1. Digize for Young Living members $33.75: I have heard people talking about Digize and how great it works, but they would always make a comment on the smell and because of that I was a bit hesitant of purchasing this oil. But it got to a point where Tums was not doing the job anymore. Instead it was making me sick, so I stopped ta…

New Young Living Products

Image
Dear blog,
Young Living's Convention 2018 just passed and I was really excited when they announced their new products. I can't wait to try the new products, especially the ones that are meant for oily skin!

Here are the five products that are on my wish list!
1. Orange Blossom Moisturizer for members $33.50, it says that it controls excess oils and preps your face for makeup for a matte look. This is what my skin needs. I have very oily skin and makeup doesn't last long on my face.
2. Maximum Strength Acne Treatment for members $26.00, I'm in my late 20's and still struggle with acne! I find it so frustrating. I always thought once I hit a certain age I wouldn't have to worry about acne, well I was wrong. As a teenager I tried so many drug store acne treatments and none seem to work. I'm hoping this treatment is different. Not only does this treatment help clear pimples, it also helps clear blackheads!!
3. Kidscent MightyPro for members $32.75, I like th…

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Image
Dear blog,
I had a couple of coupons from Bath and Body Works that I had to use before they expired. I have noticed that the best time to shop at Bath and Body Works is when you have coupons, you get way more for your money. On this purchase I saved $65 and spent $37, to be honest I wouldn't have made the purchase if I had to pay $65. I can't justify spending that much on body products, so $37 is doable. I'm going to put a disclaimer, many of the products are body washes and the reason for that is because I use body wash a lot faster than body lotion :). Alright now to the haul!

I mainly bought products from the Sea-Tox line because of the mermaid on the packaging. I only picked three items from the collection and they are the products that I know I will use. So I got the Sea Mineral Body Wash Cleanse, Sea Mineral Body Polish, and Sea Mineral All Over Mist. I'm really looking forward to using these products, they smell amazing :).
