My Must Have Oils for Disney!

Image
Dear blog, I'm back from my Disney trip and here are the oils that I took with me. Don't get me wrong I use all of them, but I don't have a way to store them all. So here is my list of the one's I took to Disney World . I'm using the Danielle Nicole  cosmetic bag. I can't find this same one, but here is a similar bag (which is adorable as well). Inside the bag I have Lavender  oil. I use this to calm my children down. Also, if they get any cuts. The next oil is Peppermint , many of my family members use this for headaches. We were in a car for almost 20 hours, so headaches and car sickness are a given. I have Thieves , I use for keeping germs away and in case my children get sick. I can rub some with coconut oil on the bottom of their feet. The last oil is Ginger , this may be tmi, but I rub it on their tummies or the bottom of their feet if they are having a stomachache or haven't gone to the bathroom. I have finally been able to use  Lav

Walt Disney World Series: Part 1 Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House

Dear blog, we are back to reality. Our carriage has turned into a pumpkin, but we had an amazing time while we were there and that is all that matters. This is my second time staying at a Disney Resort and let me tell you it did not disappoint. We stayed at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House and everything was absolutely stunning. I was very skeptical when we went to the Disney Vacation Club sales pitch; I was sure we wouldn't "fall' for it. Well silly me, we ended up joining the club and I honestly think it was a great investment. It's so worth it. I'll have to dedicate an entirely different post to that topic, so back to the topic at hand the resort. You walk into a very cozy environment. There are chairs and sofas for guest to sit and chat. There are cases with African relics. This resort is inspired by the traditional African kraal. There is African music playing in the background at all times, I felt like I was visiting Africa:). The resort is

Day and Night: Can you spot the difference with AUrate?

Dear blog, Sophie Kahn and Bouchra Ezzahraoui knew what they were doing when they launched AUrate New York . As a woman I find myself looking for jewelry that is going to be durable and looks good; this is something they do very well. They are currently working on a project to challenge women to share how they transition an outfit from day to night with minimal effort. I am a working mom and I have learned the art of transitioning an outfit from day to night. No, I don't have late events to attend, but I do have "dates" to attend with my hubby and my babies. Not to mention those days when I just need to run some errands after work, but I don't want to look like a slob when I do it. During the day, I'm a fourth grade teacher. Being a teacher has been my passion since I can't remember. People would always ask me why do you want to be a teacher? I have always answered because I want to make a difference in children's lives and I want to inspire them to lear

Happy 4th of July!

Dear blog, I hope all of you had a great 4th of July. I know I did. I got to spend it with my family and that is a huge blessing. I'm so proud to be an American. I have worked so hard to become a citizen of this great nation. My family and I have been citizens for about 4 years now. I'm so thankful for this country taking me in and giving me the opportunity to better myself. This 4th of July I did something I had never done before; a color run. My husband and I actually did it together. I had an amazing time, it felt so good to run! By the end of the run we were covered in red and blue powder and let me tell you that stuff is hard to take off. After the run we went to my parent's house where we grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and bratwurst. What did you do? I'm looking forward to running another color run since I enjoyed this one so much! Have you participated in a color run? Did you enjoy it?
