First week of school!!

Image
Dear blog, it's that time of the year again! We have to go back to work. I have enjoyed spending time at home with my babies and spoiling them. I had a really difficult time wrapping my mind around the fact that school was starting. I remember whining to my husband that I didn't want to go back, I wanted to stay at home. He proceeded to tell me it was time to grow up lol. The summer vacation went by so fast I couldn't believe it when my calendar turned to August 1st. Once that happened, I spent everyday in my classroom or working on my Professional Developments. I miss being at home with my children, it kills me every morning when I have to walk out my front door and I leave my son crying because he doesn't want me to go. But I know it's something I have to do. I have bills and student loans to pay back. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to get an education, but man those loan payments are a pain. Anyway back to my first week at school. It really hasn't

FreePrints App

Dear blog, on our way back home from Disney World we were listening to Pandora radio station and an ad came up. I don't usually pay attention to ads, but this one caught my attention somehow. It was about free prints. The first thing that crossed my mind was, "I just came back from a vacation, not just any vacation, a Disney vacation! I have lots of pictures that I need to print." So I decided to give it a try. I actually did it while I was in the car. There was a first time deal where you can order 10 prints for absolutely free and I thought "yes please." I like free stuff lol. FreePrints  is a free app you can load on your phone and have your pictures printed. You get up to 85 prints (4x6) per month. Now you only get one free print per photo, if you get a double of a print you will pay for the second print (its not expensive). The most you pay on shipping is $9.99. I was spending more than that where I usually went for pictures, and it was always a hass

Disney World Magic Kingdom

Image
Dear blog, this summer was such a magical experience. My husband decided to invite the whole family to Disney World in Orlando, FL. Like I said, magical. We actually stayed in one of the big resorts. The Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort Jambo House. We took the family to Magi Kingdom first, because duh! Magic Kingdom is my favorite park and it must be for the rest of the world because its's always so packed!! I've been to Magic Kingdom in the heat of summer and in December; it's such a different experience. The biggest difference is the weather. It's much easier to maneuver the parks during the colder months because there is no miserable humidity! We took the resort bus to get to the park. I have mixed feelings about using their transportation. I felt like the bus took forever to pickup us up, especially after a long day at the park when we had to wait for an hour at the bus st! It was miserable waiting for the bus, we were all exhausted and we had to stand in the humidi

Behind-the-scenes

Dear blog, I'm an amateur when it comes to the photography I put in my blog posts. I don't have any special equipment or even a dedicated camera. All I have is my trusty iPhone 7 . I hope to move up a better camera for better quality. I would like a camera with the high resolution used by professionals, good lightning equipment, and perfect locations. So much is needed to find the perfect shot. For every photo posted in my blog, 5-7 pictures are taken to get the 1 perfect shot. I have found something that can knock the first item off my list, it's the the Light L16 camera . Adding this camera would make it so much easier to find that perfect shot. Well, maybe not, but it would certainly give me better quality pictures to choose from. Since I'm already on the subject of what goes into making a blog post, let me give you a behind the scene look at what I go through to share my life with you.  It takes me at least two days to plan my outfits.  Here are some things that I

Anniversary Weekend

Image
Dear blog, this past week my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. It fell on a weekday so there was not much we could do. He had worked all day and I was at a workshop all day. All we wanted to do that night was spend time with the kiddos at home and that is exactly what we did. Now for the past several months I've been dropping hints that I wanted to watch Disney's The Little Mermaid Broadway tour and it just happened to fall on the weekend after our anniversary. If you have read any of my posts before, you will know I'm a Disney lover so I didn't want to pass up this opportunity. I was lucky enough that my husband got my hints and he got us tickets to go see it. The show was actually at The Orpheum Theater in Memphis, TN. Before we headed to the show we actually ate at  Charles Vergos' Rendezvous . The restaurant is actually in a basement off an alley in downtown Memphis. I'm not big on ribs or BBQ, but I can eat their ribs anytime. They are deli
